What Is Life Skills Coaching?

Life Skills Coaching is a powerful alliance which helps you discover a way to live authentically, powerfully, mindfully, successfully, and joyfully. As a Life Skills Coach, I honor the unique talents and abilities you have as well as your inherent worth as a spiritual/human being. I believe that there are things you can learn to make your life, relationships, and work more easeful and productive. I invite you to take full responsibility for your life, to feel your feelings fully, to make commitments in the present, to practice those commitments, and to identify goals for the future. Now, doing these things may bring past events to the surface, but they will be used in the context of your forward-looking journey.

I use a holistic life skills learning model to coach you. That means that I want you to ask yourself the question "What do I most need to learn right now about how to live a happier, healthier life?" I believe that your journey to answer that question is not about being right or achieving anything, but that it is simply about learning what most needs to be learned. I can help you find the healthier, happier life you want, to move towards balance and fulfillment. My intention as a Life Skills Coach is not to get you to run even faster on the hamster wheel, but to help you get off the wheel and onto your own life’s path confidently, comfortably, and healthfully.

The Heartspace

I believe that happiness and health exist within your heartspace, the deepest sense of knowing. Many people live within a contracted heartspace. They limit themselves, many times frozen in fear to varying degrees by how they think about themselves and the world around them. I encourage you to live in a fully conscious state whereby you become aware of all of your feelings of fear, anger, sadness, and joy and take full responsibility for how you feel. Then you can responsibly choose to take action to increase the diversity of your life’s choices. You diminish your limitations. You expand your heartspace. As your heartspace increases, you expand into the field of all possibilities where you can live your life on your terms and you can choose to be happy in every moment.
